Dakota Lancey, age 24, of Danbury, was charged on Thursday, May 30, by the Danbury Police Department's Special Investigations Division.
According to Erin Henry, spokesperson for the Danbury Police, detectives executed several search warrants following a several-month investigation into illegal drug sales throughout the city of Danbury.
Detectives had received complaints from concerned citizens about illegal drug sales by Lancey, who was the target, Henry said.
Henry said during the searches of Lancey's 2017 Mercedes-Benz and his residence at the Park Brook Apartments, detectives seized narcotics, an electronic scale, packaging material, $57,000 in cash, drugs, hallucinogens, and cocaine.
He was charged with:
- Operating a drug factory
- Three counts of possession of a controlled substance
- Possession of a hallucinogen with intent to sell
- Possession of a narcotic substance with intent to sell
- Possession of over five ounces of marijuana
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
Lancey was held on a $10,000 bond.
